The HARMONISE Project held its 2nd General Assembly (GA) on December 4th and 5th, 2024, in the city of Parma, Italy. Hosted by MAPS, the meeting brought together partners from across the consortium for two days of fruitful collaboration, in-depth discussions, and strategic planning for the next stages of the project.
The assembly provided a platform to review the progress of the active Work Packages (WPs), discuss the outcomes of completed tasks, and plan the next steps required to achieve the project’s objectives. Partners presented the first deliverables, reflecting the hard work and dedication of the entire team during the first six months. A major focus was given to the results of stakeholder surveys, which provided valuable insights into the challenges and needs of our target audiences. These results will shape the strategies and solutions developed throughout the project.
The meeting also served as a venue to showcase the initial design process for the HARMONISE Architecture Platform, a key component of the project. Partners engaged in detailed discussions about the platform’s features, the integration of its components, and the role it will play in the demonstration cases. The unveiling of the HARMONISE website was another highlight, offering a preview of a central hub for collaboration and outreach. Plans for further enrichment of the website, including translations into multiple languages to enhance national-level engagement, were shared.
Additionally, updates from the pilot teams sparked excitement as they showcased progress and set the stage for impactful contributions to the project. Collaborative discussions helped refine the use cases, ensuring their alignment with the project’s objectives and highlighting potential business opportunities for demonstration.
Looking ahead, the meeting set several key actions in motion. Monthly progress reviews will be conducted by the Steering Committee to ensure the smooth execution of all WPs. Technical partners will meet in the coming weeks to finalize the project’s architecture, while partners will work collaboratively to complete deliverables due at Month 12. To enhance the impact of the pilot projects, one-on-one meetings will be held with pilot leaders to refine use cases and integrate business opportunities. Additionally, a national campaign will be created to reach stakeholders on a national level.
The General Assembly underscored the collective commitment of all partners to harmonize innovative solutions for stakeholders across Europe. The next General Assembly is planned for mid-2025 and will coincide with the project’s first review, marking the end of its first year.
